  • Abstract: 4 (CZTS) can be potentially used as a counter electrode in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) because of its excellent catalytic performance. In this paper, stoichiometric CZTS was prepared and was applied in DSSCs. The DSSCs with CZTS counter electrodes showed relatively low photoelectric conversion efficiency (PCE) of 4.77%. However, the PCE was clearly enhanced by adding graphene to CZTS and a maximum PCE of 7.81% was achieved, which was superior to the value of 6.66% shown by the Pt counterpart. The influence of graphene that results in the improvement of the performance of the DSSCs is discussed in detail.
