Aim & Scope:

School Leadership & Management publishes articles, reports, news and information on all aspects of the leadership and management of schools. The journal is fundamentally concerned with the improvement of leadership and management practice in classrooms, schools and other educational institutions and therefore adopts both individual and system level perspectives on these issues.

School Leadership & Management particularly welcomes:

Scholarly articles that explore alternative, critical and re-conceptualised views of school leadership and management
Scholarly articles that provide state of the art reviews of the literature Scholarly articles reporting empirical findings that make an original contribution to the field Scholarly articles that make a theoretical contribution which extends and deepens our understanding of the key issues associated with educational leadership, management, change and improvement Scholarly articles that are written for academics but are aimed at academic, policymaking and practitioner audiences Contributions from policymakers and practitioners, provided that the relationship between research, theory and practice is made explicit Prospective authors should consult the notes for contributors. Authors are also encouraged to contact members of the editorial board prior to submission.

Peer Review Policy:
All research articles in this journal, including those that appear in special editions, have undergone rigorous peer review, based upon initial editors screening and subsequent anonymized refereeing by at least two referees for each paper. In the case of a difference of opnion between referees additional views are sought from a third referee. The refereeing process adheres to the international standards and ensures that all published work is of the highest quality.
